The source of energy we use in Toksook Bay. We have 3 wind mills in our village and it save alot of people the electric bill. They are really cool and really big. I think that we also share them with the other surrounding villages. Like Tununak the village on the other side of the hill from us and Nighmute the village across the bay from our village. When they were in the process of putting the windmills up my friends and I went up there and carved our names on one of the propellers it was a lot of fun....

The 20 geese that my dad shot on Sunday wow. Yumm Yumm. But I hate plucking them it takes to long and there are lots of bugs. But I love to eat them they are really good in soups and roasted yumm my mouth is watering. lol I know what you thinking why did he get 20. In the Yupik way we have to share the catch give some away to the elders. We also save some for the winter.

Here is the main road in Toksook Bay Alaska. Everyone uses it all the time. I choose this photo because it is part Toksook Bay, my home town. You could see the hills and little streams of water going to the beach. Toksook is a beautiful place.

Macro is taking photos close. the classical definition is digital sensor Most 35mm format macro lenses achieve at least 1:2, that is to say, the image on the film is 1/2 the size of the object being photographed. You take pictures of little things its to see what it really looks like.

Definition
Macro photography is taking very close-up pictures of subjects. The definition would be to take an image at a 1:1 ratio but, in general usage, the term has come to mean any close-up photography.

MOVE IN ON TINY AREA OF SUBJECT

1. Choose a medium camera (about 90-180mm) macro lens. A comfortable working distance. Gives you the necessary room for lighting and other objects for close-up photography. Get yourself a sturdy tripod to get ride of the camera shake in close-up photsography. Make sure you have a good place to take the picture. Try not to cast your own or the camera's shadow on the subjects.

Take Your Shot
Once you have it lined up and in focus take your picture. Make sure once you’ve taken the photo to take a good look at it on your LCD, zooming in to make sure that your focusing is sharp. Try shooting at slightly different apertures, with different compositions and focusing on different points of your subject to see what works best.

"Macro photography" is another name for "close-up photography." The closer you can focus on your subject the larger it will appear in the frame but you have to have a good focus that could get close to the object. Point to macro photography -- to magnify small objects. Some purists insist that the term macro be reserved for images that are at least life-sized in the film -- an object 1" long must record an image 1" long or longer in the film to count as macro to these folks.

Tips

Macro Photography is what get you the magnified, larger then life photos. When you enlarge them like most all photos they become bigger then real life. The macro mode this button has to be pressed several times until the flower icon appears on the viewing LCD. A number of digital cameras then subsequently by design shift into a particular precinct on the zoom lens making a mechanical sound as the zoom reset. It is really hard to zoom into the object. Don't be fast take your time and take the best picture you can. As the subject comes in focus the depth-of-field also increases.
