Macro photography is taking very close-up pictures of subjects. The definition would be to take an image at a 1:1 ratio but, in general usage, the term has come to mean any close-up photography.
MOVE IN ON TINY AREA OF SUBJECT
- Choose a medium camera (about 90-180mm) macro lens. A comfortable working distance. Gives you the necessary room for lighting and other objects for close-up photography. Get yourself a sturdy tripod to get ride of the camera shake in close-up photsography. Make sure you have a good place to take the picture. Try not to cast your own or the camera's shadow on the subjects.
Take Your Shot
Once you have it lined up and in focus take your picture. Make sure once you’ve taken the photo to take a good look at it on your LCD, zooming in to make sure that your focusing is sharp. Try shooting at slightly different apertures, with different compositions and focusing on different points of your subject to see what works best.
